Statistical showcase on gender equality

Equality means than women and men have the same rights, responsibilities and opportunities, and benefit equally from available resources while sharing the constraints equally, and without suffering gender-based violence. In Québec, significant progress has been made in terms of equality in the past few years. However, inequalities remain.

The statistical showcase on gender equality provides the most up-to-date picture possible of the situation of women and men in Québec. The indicators cover eight key aspects for monitoring equality: education, work, income and compensation, family-work-study-life balance, health, violence, power, and demographics.

The data on gender equality are also grouped according to different population groups: youth, seniors, immigrants, sexual or gender minority people, people with disabilities and visible minorities.
