The Institut de la statistique du Québec’s (the “Institut”) social media platforms offer the public, researchers and various organizations in Québec another way to interact with the Institut.
The following netiquette guidelines establish a clear set of rules of conduct and courtesy that apply to the Institut’s social media platforms.
Private messages, comments and responses from Internet users are read during regular working hours, Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The Institut reserves the right to remove any comments that:
- contain defamatory, discriminatory, hateful, racist, xenophobic, homophobic, sexist, transphobic, disgraceful, offensive, crude, violent, abusive, or pornographic language;
- go against a law or regulation;
- include political, promotional, advertising or propagandistic content;
- are irrelevant, abusively repetitive or off topic;
- are confusing, vague or incorrect;
- contain confidential or personal information.
Every individual is responsible for his or her own comments and their accuracy. The Institut is not responsible for the comments and opinions expressed by Internet users on its social media platforms.
The Institut reserves the right to modify these netiquette guidelines without notice.
