La santé des jeunes du secondaire en 2022-2023

In 2022–2023, about half (51%) of high school students worked during the school year, with more girls (53%) working than boys (48%). Between 2010–2011 and 2022–2023, there was a significant rise in professionally diagnosed mental health issues among Québec high school students. Fewer high school students consume drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, sugary drinks and junk food in 2022–2023.

The Québec Health Survey of High School Students (QHSHSS) 2022-2023 is a large-scale survey conducted among 70,825 young people attending 483 French and English, public and private schools across Québec. Now in its third edition, this study first conducted in 2010–2011 enables us to track changes in young people’s health.
