The main objective of QSSR is to obtain a picture of bullying and cyberbullying in Québec. QSSR allows us to:
- Describe the extent of bullying and cyberbullying.
- Measure these issues in three contexts (school, work, and elsewhere).
- Identify the characteristics of people who experience bullying and cyberbullying.
- Specify the means used to avoid or end bullying and cyberbullying situations.
- Examine the forms of support used by people who have been bullied or cyberbullied and their usefulness in improving the situation.
Type of survey
Cross-sectional survey with provincial representativeness
Target population
Persons aged 12 and over living in non-institutional housing in Québec.
Persons living in institutional collective housing (hospitals, residential and long-term care centres, correctional institutions, rehabilitation centres, etc.) and persons living in the health regions of Nunavik and Terres-Cries-de-la-Baie-James were excluded from the study.
A research project conducted in collaboration with the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Health and Social Services Commission (FNQLHSSC) is currently underway. Persons living in First Nations communities in Québec are therefore also excluded from QSSR.
