Targeted population
2022
All children who attended 5-year-old kindergarten full-time in 2021-2022 in French- and English-language public and private schools (subsidized and unsubsidized) in Québec. Children living in the Nunavik (17) and Terres-Cries-de-la-Baie-James (18) health regions or attending schools under federal jurisdiction are excluded from the survey. Students with handicaps, social maladjustments or learning difficulties (SHSMLD) who were in special classes are also excluded from the survey.
2017
All children who attended 5-year-old kindergarten full-time in 2016-2017 in French- and English-language public and private schools (subsidized and unsubsidized) in Québec. Children attending schools in the Cree and Kativik school boards or schools under federal jurisdiction are excluded from the survey. Students with handicaps, social maladjustments or learning difficulties (SHSMLD) who were in special classes are also excluded from the survey.Sampling and data collection
