    What is the Institut de la statistique du Québec?

    The Institut de la statistique du Québec is a government agency whose mission is to produce, analyze and disseminate official, objective and high-quality statistics on various aspects of Québec society.

    How do I participate in the study?

    To participate:

    If necessary, you can exit the questionnaire and return to finish it at a more convenient time.

    If you have not submitted your online questionnaire, the ISQ will call you to obtain your answers by telephone. If you are not available when we call, just let us know what time would be more convenient for you.

    I tried to log in to the questionnaire but got an error message. What should I do?

    Please mention the name of the study printed on your invitation letter, your name, your file number (found in the letter under your address), and your contact information.

    What kind of information will be collected in this study?

    The questions will ask about your health status, your experiences accessing health and social services, and your use of certain services. Please provide the most accurate answers possible. If you are unable to provide an accurate answer to a given question, please answer it to the best of your ability, as this information will still be invaluable to us. If you prefer not to answer a question, you can skip it, regardless of your reason for not answering.

    Why should I participate?

    Your name was selected from the records of the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux, just like the names of several other Quebecers.

    Your participation in the study is voluntary, but important, because your answers will enable us to obtain a reliable statistical portrait of the use of front-line health and social services (medical clinic, emergency, CLSC) in Québec.

    The personal information required for the study, including your contact information, was obtained in accordance with the Act respecting the Institut de la statistique du Québec, which guarantees that it will be kept confidential.

    Are telephone conversations recorded?

    For quality and training purposes, telephone conversations with Institut de la statistique du Québec agents are recorded. If you do not want your conversation to be recorded, simply notify the agent at the beginning of the call.

    What is the Institut de la statistique du Québec’s privacy policy?

    The Act respecting the Institut de la statistique du Québec guarantees that the information you provide will be kept confidential and will only be used for statistical purposes.
