The purpose of this article is to establish the prevalence of falls over a 12-month period among the Québec population aged 65 and older living at home, using data from the Canadian Community Health Survey - Healthy Aging, 2008–2009. This portrait is presented by sex and age, based on the number of falls and health care use. It also includes the types of injuries caused by falls. Finally, concern about falling and the activity limitation stemming from this concern are examined for all people aged 65 and older, regardless of whether or not they have had a fall.
