This publication is a reflection of the advancement of knowledge on environmental accounting at the Institut de la statistique du Québec and will be used as a reference document for establishing Québec’s environmental accounts. Presented in conjunction with the National Accounting System, it takes up a resolutely economic point of view and initiates a discussion on the thorny issue of ecosystem valuation.
