Entitled Le vieillissement démographique : de nombreux enjeux à déchiffrer, this document covers a broad range of topics. The multiple issues surrounding older adults leaving the workforce are first analysed in view of the behaviours associated with retirement age, financial planning and the economic conditions of seniors. The role and quality of social and supportive networks for seniors living at home as well as the growth of health care spending in the context of population aging are later examined. The housing market and infraprovincial migration of seniors are then analysed. The conference also led to productive discussions on the importance of statistical data to better highlight issues regarding population aging. The publication ends with a summary of these roundtable discussions.
