This report presents the descriptive analysis of the results of a survey conducted by the Bureau de la statistique du Québec at the request of the Ministère de la Famille et de l'Enfance and the Ministère de l'Éducation. Carried out between August 3 and September 26, 1998, this survey was designed to measure some of the effects of the new Québec family policy implemented in 1997, as well as to update data on the childcare needs of Québec families, the last evaluation of which was conducted in 1993.
