The 2020 edition of the annual publication Emploi salarié et rémunération de l'industrie de la finance et des assurances, Canada et provinces, provides information on the number of payroll jobs, payroll expenses, and average weekly earnings by industry.

The first table on employment and payrolls shows the industrial structure in Canada and the provinces, whereas the following table lists the components of the finance and insurance industry.

The data used come from Statistics Canada’s Survey of Employment, Payrolls and Hours (SEPH). It is important to note that self-employed workers are not included in the SEPH.
