Résultats de l’Enquête sur la rémunération globale au Québec

Montréal, May 29, 2025. – The Institut de la statistique du Québec released today the publication Résultats de l’Enquête sur la rémunération globale au Québec for 2024. In this survey, data were collected from multiple private and public organizations with 200 or more employees. These data cover the wages, hours of work and total compensation (which takes into account various benefits) of nearly 849,000 employees.

Results for the public sector are broken down into five categories:

  • Québec government (Québec public service and public education, health and social services networks)
  • Municipal governments (municipalities with a population of 25,000 or more)
  • Federal government in Québec
  • Universities
  • Local, provincial and federal government business enterprises

Results for the private sector are broken down by:

  • Organization size
  • Presence or absence of a union

The data from this survey also serve as a basis for the report Rémunération des salariés – État et évolution comparés, which compares the total compensation of Québec government employees with that of other Québec employees. That report will be released, as usual, at the end of November, but will be based on new data collected in 2025.

The Institut de la statistique du Québec produces, analyzes and disseminates official, objective and quality statistical information on all aspects of Québec society. It is responsible for conducting all statistical surveys of general interest. The relevance of its work makes it a strategic ally for decision makers and an essential source of information for all those wishing to learn more about Québec.
