The Institut de la statistique du Québec conducts the Québec survey on total compensation (ERG) annually. A major revision of the ERG, carried out over the past few years, has made it possible to broaden the coverage of the jobs surveyed. In fact, the ISQ is now pooling information on all the jobs in the enterprises targeted by the sample, by coding the jobs according to the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
The publication Résultats de l’Enquête sur la rémunération globale au Québec provides information on salaries, normal working hours, salary scales and total compensation by occupations in the NOC minor and unit groups. The results are presented according to 13 breakdowns. That way, the general public as well as unions, employers and other labour market stakeholders have access to strategic data to inform their discussions on compensation conditions.
