Summary of responsibilities
Certified maintenance workers perform a variety of tasks related to the rehabilitation, repair and maintenance of buildings, sanitary facilities or simple mechanical facilities in areas where skilled workers are not available on a continuous basis.
Education requirement
Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in a building-related specialty or in mechanics
Condition of employment
Valid competency certificate for a building trade (mandatory)
Minimum experience generally required by level of complexity
