Your name was selected at random, just like that of several thousand other people in Québec, so that you can participate in the Québec Cannabis Study 2025. This study covers all persons aged 15 and over. Your input is appreciated, whether or not you use cannabis.
This study is conducted in accordance with the Act respecting the Institut de la statistique du Québec, and your contact information was obtained under this Act.
Your participation in the study is voluntary, but important, because it will help us obtain an accurate statistical portrait of cannabis use in Québec. In this regard, the study results will allow the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux to better meet the needs of the population in terms of health prevention and protection.
For quality and training purposes, telephone conversations with Institut de la statistique du Québec agents are recorded. If you do not want your conversation to be recorded, simply notify the agent at the beginning of the call.
The Act respecting the Institut de la statistique du Québec guarantees that the information you provide will be kept confidential and will only be used for statistical purposes.
All employees at the Institut have been sworn in before a commissioner and are bound to maintain secrecy and confidentiality.
The Institut de la statistique du Québec has entered into an agreement with the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux, to whom the data collected will be sent, except for your name, address, and telephone number.

Yes. The ethics committee appointed by the Institut de la statistique du Québec reviewed the study to ensure it is conducted in a way that respects participants and protects their dignity.

The first results of the 2025 study will be published in the form of highlights in October 2025. Detailed results will be released in a full report in April 2026.
