In 2021, a record 69,990 degrees and diplomas were granted at the bachelor’s level or higher in Québec. The number of degrees granted was up by 11.8% from 2020 and reached a new high at all three levels:
For the first time, the majority (51.0%) of doctorate degrees were awarded to women.
The analysis is based on data from Statistics Canada’s Postsecondary Student Information System (PSIS). It aims to present the situation in Québec and compare it to that in Ontario.
