Male fertility in Québec

In 2022, the total fertility rate was 1.39 children per man compared to 1.49 children per woman in Québec. For both men and women, the rate in 2022 was the lowest since 2002. Male fertility has been following a general downward trend since the recent high of nearly 1.65 in 2008 and 2009.
