Étude des principaux facteurs associés au sommeil insuffisant, à la violence à l’école et au risque de décrochage scolaire chez les jeunes du secondaire en 2016-2017

This multi-thematic document based on data from the Québec Health Survey of High School Students 2016-2017 further analyzes the factors associated with a lack of sleep, violence at school or on the way to and from school, and the risk of dropping out of school. In particular, it examines the links between each of these three topics and several variables such as social environment, self-esteem, social skills, violence and behavioural problems, mental health, and certain lifestyle habits.

The target population of the survey included all students in Secondary 1 through 5 enrolled in French and English, public and private high schools in Québec, except for students in schools located in the regions of Terres-Cries-de-la-Baie-James and Nunavik. More than 62,000 students in 16 health regions took part in the second edition of the survey.
