Enquête québécoise sur les couvertures vaccinales contre l’influenza et le pneumocoque. Rapport d'enquête 2008

    This publication presents the results of the Québec Survey on Influenza and Pneumococcal Vaccination Coverage, conducted in the spring of 2008, following the 2007-2008 flu vaccination campaign. This is the fourth edition of the survey.

    This report includes the following results:

    • the proportion of Québecers who are vaccinated against influenza among those aged 60 and over and among those aged 50-59 who have a chronic disease;
    • the proportion of persons aged 65 and over who have received a lifetime pneumococcal vaccine and the proportion of persons who are also vaccinated against the flu; and
    • the proportion of household members vaccinated against the flu when a person in that household is targeted by the Québec Flu Vaccination Program and is vaccinated.

    In addition, the report provides data on the reasons for getting or not getting the vaccine among certain age groups. It also provides an analysis of influenza and pneumococcal vaccine coverage in each of Québec’s health regions.

    The target population includes all Quebecers aged 50 and over living in private households. In total, 3,881 people responded to the questionnaire in 2008.
