The Institut de la statistique du Québec has been following a cohort of children born in Québec in 1997–1998 as part of the first edition of the Québec Longitudinal Study of Child Development (QLSCD 1). Following this cohort over several years has made it possible to identify the factors that contribute to the social adjustment and academic success of young people, as well as the factors that promote their overall well-being as they enter adulthood.
