Based on data from the Québec Longitudinal Study of Child Development (QLSCD), this publication provides an estimate of the proportion of Québec-born children aged 8 in 2006 who were affected by tooth decay, as assessed by their mothers.
The experience of tooth decay for these children is linked to a number of sociodemographic, psychosocial and behavioural characteristics, as well as to certain oral habits.
