Notice of release
Montréal, July 6, 2021. – The Institut de la statistique du Québec released today the Résultats de l’Enquête sur la rémunération globale au Québec for the 2020 data collection.
This publication provides a comprehensive range of data on wages, hours of work, salary scales and total compensation for Québec as a whole and according to several breakdowns (the private sector broken down by business size and unionization as well as the public sector and its components). The results are presented based on the National Occupational Classification and cover businesses employing at least 200 people in various sectors of the labour market and municipalities with populations of 25,000 or more.
The survey data also serve as a basis for the report Rémunération des salariés – État et évolution comparés, which compares the total compensation of Québec government employees with that of other Québec employees. That report will be released, as usual, at the end of November.
The Institut de la statistique du Québec produces, analyzes and disseminates official, objective and quality statistical information on various aspects of Québec society. It is responsible for conducting all statistical surveys of general interest. The relevance of its work makes it a strategic ally for decision makers and all those wishing to learn more about Québec.
