Seven regions stand out for their growth in museum attendance
In 2025, certain regions recorded an increase in museum attendance compared with 2024. The largest increases were observed in the regions of Côte-Nord and Nord-du-Québec (+27%), Laurentides (+25%), Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine (+20%), and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean (+17%). Attendance was also up in Chaudière-Appalaches (+7%), Centre-du-Québec (+5%), and Capitale-Nationale (+4%).
In contrast, the number of admissions to museum institutions was down sharply in Mauricie (-34%), Montérégie (-29%), Lanaudière (-23%), and Bas-Saint-Laurent
(-20%).
