Québec, June 22, 2026. – Approximately 93% of businesses reported having at least one eco-responsible business practice in place in 2024, up from 87% in 2022 and 82% in 2019. This information comes from the publication Les pratiques d’affaires écoresponsables released today by the Institut de la statistique du Québec.
In 2024, businesses were more likely to have implemented eco-responsible practices of an environmental nature (85.3%) than eco-responsible practices of an economic (60.1%) or social nature (77.2%).
In general, the larger the size of a business or the higher its sales figure, the more likely it is to have adopted eco-responsible business practices.

Practices related to the fight against climate change: back to 2019 levels
In 2024, nearly a third of businesses reported having in place eco-responsible practices related to the fight against climate change (32.3%), which is down from 2022 (38.8%), but marks a return to the level of 2019 (32.0%).
