Administrative region

Regional county municipalities (RCMs)

The boundaries of the administrative region were modified in 2021 and 2024:

On July 28, 2021, the La Haute-Yamaska and Brome-Missisquoi RCMs officially changed administrative regions from Montérégie to Estrie. For more information, please read the bulletin Modifications aux municipalités du Québec of September 2021 (PDF, 630 KB) (in French only).
On January 1, 2024, the municipalities of Courcelles (Granit RCM) and Saint-Évariste-de-Forsyth (Beauce-Sartignan RCM) merged, which led to a slight modification to the boundaries of the Estrie and Chaudière-Appalaches administrative regions.
