Tables from the 2019 Survey of Innovation and Business Strategy

These tables provide the main results on innovation for Québec based on Statistics Canada’s 2019 Survey of Innovation and Business Strategy.

Innovation consists in:

• Introducing on the market a new or improved good or service that differs significantly from the goods or services previously offered.
• Implementing a new or improved business process that differs significantly from the processes previously used.

Federal-provincial partnership to improve the quality of estimates

As part of the Survey of Innovation and Business Strategy 2019, Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada and the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation du Québec have joined the Institut de la statistique du Québec to fund an additional sample of head offices in Québec in order to improve the quality of estimates.
