Recueil statistique sur l'allaitement maternel au Québec, 2005-2006

Published by the Institut de la statistique du Québec (ISQ), this statistical review features new data on breastfeeding practices during the first six months of an infant's life. Based on a survey conducted in 2005-2006 and whose financing was ensured by the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec, this review presents the prevalences of total and exclusive breastfeeding for various durations at both the provincial and regional levels. This publication also includes data on the mode of feeding of breastfed infants and on their age at the time of introduction of solids or liquids other than breast milk.
