Rapport d'enquête sur 32 festivals et événements culturels du Québec, 2000-2001

This report gives the economic profile of 32 festivals and cultural events in three administrative regions of Québec (Bas-Saint-Laurent, Capitale-Nationale and Montréal). The results presented were taken from a survey conducted by the Observatoire de la culture et des communications in the fall of 2001 on behalf of the Festivals Montréal group.

The main aspects of the 32 festivals and events studied were: attendance, income, expenses and manpower. The results presented are for fiscal year 2000-2001, but some of the figures have also been given for the two previous years, which gives us an idea of how things have changed over a three-year period.

It should be noted that the 32 festivals and events studied are not intended to represent all of the festivals and cultural events in Québec.
