L’innovation dans le secteur de la fabrication au Québec entre 2008 et 2010

    Business innovation is considered an important source of growth and prosperity for the entire economy, which is why it generates a great deal of interest among public decision makers. In this context, the Institut de la statistique du Québec conducted a survey on innovation in the summer 2011 entitled Survey on Innovation in the Manufacturing Sector in Québec, 2008-2010.

    Divided into four chapters and four appendices, the document L’innovation dans le secteur de la fabrication au Québec entre 2008 et 2010 – Rapport d’enquête provides the main results of this survey. It specifically focuses on the different types of innovation introduced by establishments, as well as on the inputs that play a role in the development of innovations, including the innovation activities that establishments carry out, the information sources and government programs they use, and the cooperative practices they implement. In addition, the survey report presents the objectives set by innovative establishments, as well as the impact of their innovations on their organizations.
