La scolarité selon les régions : un portrait contrasté

In 2006, less than one in ten people (8.7%) aged 25 to 34 didn’t have a diploma in Québec, while over two in five people (40.9%) aged 65 and over were in the same situation. Since a higher proportion of young people have diplomas in the 2006 cohort than in previous ones, the population aged 15 and over in Québec is more educated than before. This portrait is contrasted from one region to another. The proportion of the population aged 15 and over with no diploma is lower in regions where the province’s two main urban centres are located.
