Faits saillants de l'activité hors Québec des PME

This publication is produced jointly by the ministère du Développement économique, de l’Innovation et de l’Exportation (MDEIE) and the Institut de la statistique du Québec (ISQ). It gives an overview of the Survey concerning the internationalization of Québec businesses. The first part characterizes the activities of Québec SMEs outside Québec, i.e. exports, direct investments and contractual arrangements. The second part reveals the details involved in these activities outside Québec such as the motives of SMEs and the barriers they have to overcome. Finally, the last part describes the behaviour of the SMEs that have activities outside Québec with regard to other issues such as subcontracting and innovation.
