Évolution de la situation comparative de la rémunération horaire des travailleuses et des travailleurs salariés au Québec entre 1998 et 2016

In this study, the Institut de la statistique du Québec (ISQ) presents a detailed portrait of the comparative evolution of the hourly wage of female and male salaried workers in Québec between 1998 and 2016.

In particular, this report provides results and analyses according to various labour, employment and workplace characteristics. A total of 29 variables are taken into account. The report also contains an analysis of the composition of the workforce, which is then examined in light of the changes observed in women’s and men’s hourly wage. In addition, comparisons are made with other regions (Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia) to obtain a nuanced picture of the situation in Québec.
