This publication presents key findings on the eating habits and nutrient intakes of Qu&eacute;bec children and focuses on the particular challenges of young children. It is the first of two fascicles on the eating habits of young Quebecers. The findings were obtained from the Canadian Community Health Survey (Cycle 2.2, Nutrition) conducted by Statistics Canada in 2004.
Detailed results are provided in two previous reports by the Institut: L&rsquo;alimentation des jeunes qu&eacute;b&eacute;cois : un premier tour de table (2008) and Les jeunes qu&eacute;b&eacute;cois &agrave; table : regard sur les repas et collations (2010). The target population of the survey includes all persons living in private households in the ten Canadian provinces. The Qu&eacute;bec sample is comprised of 4,780 respondents, including 2,014 children aged 1 to 18.

This second fascicle on the eating habits of young Quebecers presents key findings on their eating habits and nutrient intakes and focuses on the particular challenges of children aged 9 to 18. The findings were obtained from the Canadian Community Health Survey (Cycle 2.2, Nutrition) conducted by Statistics Canada in 2004.

This publication examines an important facet of the eating habits of Qu&eacute;bec children and adolescents (aged 1-18). It takes a look at their meals and snacks as well as their consumption of food prepared outside the home. The results were taken from the Canadian Community Health Survey (Cycle 2.2 Nutrition) conducted by Statistics Canada in 2004. This report completes a previously published portrait of the eating habits and nutritional intake of young Quebecers entitled: L&rsquo;alimentation des jeunes qu&eacute;b&eacute;cois : un premier tour de table.
