Enquête québécoise sur la santé cardiovasculaire, 1990

This report was published as part of the Enquête générale de santé de 1987. The Enquête québécoise sur la santé cardiovasculaire is a supplement that provides information based on biophysical measures. This report looks at several questions related to cardiovascular diseases and the associated risk factors.

The main results are presented through a descriptive analysis and cover five major themes: risk factors, knowledge of cardiovascular diseases, personal history of cardiovascular diseases, use of health services, and treatment of a disease. In addition, a multivariate analysis model is used to assess the risk of cardiovascular diseases among the Québec population.

The target population of the survey is the non-institutionalized Québec population aged 18 to 74 years. Home interviews were conducted with 2,354 people, and laboratory data was collected from 2,056 of them.
