Québec, July 28, 2022. – The Institut de la statistique du Québec launched today a new statistical showcase on gender equality. This project is the result of a partnership with the Secrétariat à la condition feminine as part of the Government Strategy for Gender Equality 2022-2027.

The showcase features statistics that outline the current situation in terms of equality between women and men and illustrate the trends observed in recent years in Québec. It highlights not only the progress made, but also the inequalities that persist.

The different themes presented in the showcase cover aspects that are essential to monitoring equality:

    • Education
    • Work
    • Income and compensation
    • Family-work-study-life balance
    • Health
    • Violence
    • Power
    • Demographics

Nearly 50 indicators are explained through highlights and represented by charts and tables. The showcase makes it possible to see and compare major trends over time for women and men.
