Release: November 25, 2024
An all-new Institut de la statistique du Québec research data access centre (CADRISQ) just opened out of the offices of the Pavillon de santé de précision et de recherche translationnelle (PSPRT) of Université de Sherbrooke’s Campus de la santé. This new centre will promote closer ties with researchers in and around Sherbrooke while making research data more accessible to them.
The ISQ has been a partner to the Québec research community for years. It provides access to administrative data from RAMQ, MSSS, MES, MEQ, and in the near future, from Revenu Québec. Data held by reserchers and ISQ survey data can also be used for research projects.
The availability of multi-sectoral data and the ability to match these data (also called data linkage) increase the potential of research projects in Québec and their possible fields of application. The ISQ’s services—which include local CADRISQs—aim to support researchers in carrying out increasingly valuable and innovative research projects!
Projects carried out at CADRISQ centres benefit from a highly secure environment where data privacy and information security are central to the access process.
The CADRISQ centre at Université de Sherbrooke’s Campus de la santé comprises 8 workstations available on site by appointment. They are in addition to the 65 workstations in other CADRISQ centres in Montréal, Québec City and Sherbrooke.
