Director, Public Health Surveillance, Measurement and Monitoring
Sub-ministry of prevention and public health
Ministry of Health and Social Services

Hello dear Growing Up in Québec families,

Your commitment to this study is invaluable to us. Thanks to you, we have access to essential information to better understand the physical and mental health needs of children and their parents. This knowledge helps us adjust our services, identify our priorities for action, reinforce our health prevention and promotion strategies, and better support the health and well-being of Québec families.

Thank you, dear parents, for making room in your life for this study. And a special thank you to the participating children, who are the real stars of the study.

Marie Gendron

Chief Executive Officer
Conseil de gestion de l’assurance parentale

Hello,

The Conseil de gestion de l’assurance parentale is responsible for the QPIP program.  We participate in the Growing Up in Québec project because it helps us better understand the reality of parents in their child’s first months of life, but also when they return to work after their parental leave.

I would like to thank you because, year after year, you and your family take the time to do the interviews, and you give us privileged access to your family. This information provides us with insights on how to further develop the QPIP program and improve the support offered to families.

Thank you for your generosity and your trust!

Catherine Grétas

Ministry of Employment and Social Solidarity

Dear parents,

I am very happy to speak to you today. On behalf of the ministry, I want to express my deep gratitude for your commitment and your dedication to this study.

Thanks to your input, the ministry can learn about children’s living conditions and put forward solutions to improve services and policies that directly impact Québec families.

Every question you answer is a piece of the puzzle that helps us better understand the development of Québec children and to move towards better public support for this development. Your participation is therefore invaluable for all Québec families.

Thank you for contributing directly to the success of Growing Up in Québec. We are proud to be a partner in this study.

Michel Boivin

Professor, Laval University
Canada Research Chair in Children's Development

Dear parents,

I have been involved in Growing Up in Québec as a researcher-collaborator since the very beginning.

Researchers and several university teams in Québec, often working in collaboration with international researchers, use data from Growing Up in Québec to advance knowledge about children’s development.

The findings from the study are presented in conferences and published in national and international scientific journals.

They are also used to inform policies and services that directly impact Québec children and families.

All of this is made possible thanks to your participation, which helps us better understand the development of children, but also of parents and families in Québec, and therefore to better prepare those who will be working with these children in the future.

In short, you play a key role in improving knowledge on the well-being of children in Québec.

This study would not be possible without your contribution.  On behalf of all my researcher colleagues, thank you for your ongoing commitment.
