When kissing owies isn't enough: Injuries during childhood

Based on data from the Québec Longitudinal Study of Child Development (QLSCD), this bulletin focuses on unintentional injuries among children born in Québec in the late 1990s. It should be noted that the injuries were serious enough to require seeing a health professional or having the intention to do so.

In addition to providing an estimate of the proportion of children who sustained an injury during a reference period at different ages, this bulletin also includes an estimate of the proportion of children who had at least one injury between birth and age 6. It also provides information on the cause and location of the most serious injuries during the reference period.
