This bulletin provides a portrait of breastfeeding in Québec. It focuses on the decision to breastfeed, continuing to breastfeed during the baby’s first year, and the reasons given by mothers for stopping breastfeeding. We hope that the analyses presented in this bulletin will be of interest to mothers as well as to various professionals (nurses, physicians, lactation consultants, midwives, birth companions, researchers, etc.) working in the field of perinatality, childhood and family.
