This article provides a portrait of physical activity among Québec adults. Two physical-activity indicators are discussed, namely leisure-time physical activity and transportation-related physical activity. The analyses presented are based on data from Cycle 3.1 of the 2005 Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS). They focus on the Québec population aged 18 and over and take into account personal characteristics such as sex, age, education and household income. Links with other indicators are also explored (self-rated general health, body weight).
