Enquête auprès de la clientèle des ressources pour personnes itinérantes des régions de Montréal-Centre et de Québec, 1998-1999 - Volume 2

This survey follows up the enumeration operation of clients of services for homeless people conducted in 1996-1997 in the two largest urban areas of Québec, Montréal-Centre and the Québec Urban Community. The targeted population of this investigation remains the same, people who attend accomodation centres, soup kitchens and day-care centres for homeless people. In total, 757 people were interviewed between December 4, 1998 and August 31, 1999. The results of this investigation will be the subject of several publications.

Volume 2 - In this one, following a brief review of the methodology, the portrait of the clientele is built on by broaching the other dimensions covered in this survey: residential instability, lifestyle behaviours, needs in services, family life and commitment before adulthood, recent stressful events, social support, criminal behaviour and drug rehabilitation. The results are given for the clientele of the two regions and for each of these clienteles separately. They also make it possible to draw a portrait of the target population by residential status, sex, and age.
