Your responses also enabled us to publish a fascicle entitled Anxiety in young adults in the summer of 2020 in Québec: links with certain factors measured before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Here are some of the main findings from the fascicle:
- In the summer of 2020, about 1 in 6 young adults had moderate or severe generalized anxiety symptoms. This proportion is similar to what was observed in 2018.
- Just over 80% of young adults felt the same level of anxiety in the summer of 2020 as in 2018. However, 9% of them felt more anxiety, while another 9% felt less.
- The likelihood of young adults being anxious in the summer of 2020 was higher if, at the same time, they felt lonely, had a job, or were concerned about their job prospects.
