The objective of this survey is to collect accurate data on current workforce needs. This information will allow various labour market partners to adapt programs and services in order to strengthen the match between labour supply and demand by occupation, both at the provincial and regional levels.

The Institut de la statistique du Québec, also known as Statistique Québec, is a government agency whose mission is to produce, analyze and disseminate official, objective and high-quality statistics on various aspects of Québec society.
To participate in the survey, you simply have to:
- go to the following Internet address: statistique.quebec.ca/sretq2
- enter your identifier
- create a password
- complete the online questionnaire
If necessary, you can exit the questionnaire and return to finish it at a more convenient time.
Statistique Québec will contact the participants who have not submitted their online questionnaire to obtain their answers by phone. If you are not available when we call, you can let us know what time would be more convenient for you.

It was chosen in a file created with information from Statistics Canada’s Business Register (BR) database. Statistique Québec always selects its samples randomly. However, when making this selection, it must take into account different factors related to the targeted Location, such as economic sector, region, and Organization size.

The results will provide various labour-market partners with insight into the current needs of the workforce, the nature of vacant positions and the factors involved. These results will ultimately help improve the balance between labour supply and demand by occupation, both provincially and regionally.
As set out in section 11 of the Act respecting the Institut de la statistique du Québec, the Chief Statistician has the right to determine which requests for information are to be considered mandatory if he deems that such information is necessary to produce reliable statistics. The Chief Statistician has declared this survey mandatory.
As a result, you are legally obligated to fill out the survey. Under the Act respecting the Institut de la statistique du Québec, anyone asked to provide the Institut with information deemed mandatory must do so within the timeframe and in the format requested.

The Act respecting the Institut de la statistique du Québec guarantees the confidentiality of the data being gathered. Only individuals duly authorized by Statistique Québec will have access to the data you will provide, which represents a limited number of people. All staff members take an oath before a commissioner and are bound to maintain the secrecy and confidentiality of the data they gather.
Statistique Québec entered into an agreement with the Ministère du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale (MTESS). The collected information, except the name of your organization and its contact information, will be sent to the MTESS unless you notify us in writing before June 30, 2023.
