    Statistique Québec Panel Survey

    The Statistique Québec panel is made up of volunteers who agreed to be contacted by Statistique Québec to participate in future surveys. When a new Statistique Québec panel survey is conducted, we will contact you by text message, email or mail to invite you to participate. You will be solicited a maximum of three times a year.

    What is Statistique Québec’s mission?

    The Institut de la statistique du Québec (Statistique Québec) is a government agency whose mission is to provide reliable, objective statistics on all aspects of Québec society for which such information is pertinent. These statistics enhance knowledge, enlighten debates and support decision making by various Québec stakeholders.

    What is the Statistique Québec panel?

    The Statistique Québec panel is made up of volunteers who agreed to be contacted by Statistique Québec to participate in future surveys. When a new Statistique Québec panel survey is conducted, we will contact you by text message, email or mail to invite you to participate. You will be solicited a maximum of three times a year.

    What types of surveys could I be asked to participate in?

    Statistique Québec may ask you to participate in surveys aimed at meeting the statistical needs of Québec government departments and agencies. The surveys may cover any topic related to the situation in Québec (e.g. health, education, the economy, etc.).

    What do I have to do to participate in the survey?

    To participate, you must wait for Statistique Québec to contact you about a survey that will use the panel.

    Do I have to participate in this survey?

    Your participation in each survey is voluntary, but important in order to produce reliable, representative statistics on Québec.

    When will the $1,000 prize be drawn?

    Each time you participate, a draw will be held at the end of the survey. The winner will be contacted by telephone.

    How can I have my name removed from Statistique Québec’s panel?

    If you want to have your name removed from the panel, you must get in touch with Statistique Québec using the contact information provided on the reverse side of this letter. When you contact us, please give us your name and file number. Once your name has been removed from the panel, Statistique Québec will not, under any circumstances, contact you regarding future panel surveys. However, you may be selected at random to respond to another one of Statistique Québec’s surveys, as you were for the Québec Population Health Survey 2020-2021.

    How can I update my contact information?

    If you move or change your telephone number or email address, please contact Statistique Québec to update your contact information at 1-800-561-0213 or at panel@stat.gouv.qc.ca.

    What is Statistique Québec’s privacy policy?

    You can take part in our surveys with the knowledge that the information you provide will remain confidential and will only be used for statistical purposes. This is guaranteed under the Act respecting the Institut de la statistique du Québec.

    Does Statistique Québec have an ethical framework?

    The surveys carried out by Statistique Québec are reviewed by an ethics committee. This committee is responsible for safeguarding the respect, dignity and integrity of those participating or included in our surveys.
